BRIDGE OF THE DRAGON
It is a deep surprise to find this type of bridge at the entrance of Alcalá de Guadaíra. It is said of him that he is the first figurative bridge in Europe and that it is a dragon that guards his castle. It is the work of Sevillian José Luis Manzanares Japan and was inaugurated in March 2007.

CASTLE OF ALCALA DE GUADAIRA

Located on top of a hill, the Alcala de Guadaíra Castle is an extensive fortified complex composed of several buildings: the Castle itself, the walled enclosure of the old medieval village, the Alcazaba of the Mocha Tower and the corachas.
From the Paseo de Ronda, on the walls, there are fantastic views of the Guadaíra River and the Dragon Bridge.

It is declared a Monument of Historical-Artistic Interest and Cultural Interest. The visit is free, although there are also guided tours at 11h on the first Saturday of each month, at the price of € 3.50.

RIBERAS DEL GUADAIRA PARK

Thus the Ribera Park has reached an extension of 150 hectares next to the river and a network of hiking trails that reach 30 kilometers. The recovery of the environment has been so satisfactory that a section of the 10-kilometer river is in the process of becoming a National Monument.
